INFRARED SCANNING CAPABILITIES

When required, we utilize a non-destructive inspection with infrared roof scanning to detect moisture damage to your roof. The information provided by us becomes the basis for solutions to roofing problems and development of your roof management program. Infrared roof scanning uses state-of-the-art night vision equipment and fixed wing aircraft. Aerial infrared (IR) scans (thermal pictures) reveal moisture-damaged insulation hidden beneath the roof surface. The FLIR scanner and its minimum resolvable temperature differential of .2¼ C can detect a moisture spot the size of a human hand.

Documentation from a scan includes a video tape of the infrared scan with frame-by-frame analysis, a complete written report, an aerial photo and a scaled CAD roof plan, complete with moisture-damaged areas clearly noted.
